They will, however, tell you constantly to get used to it because PM "is a thankless job." - Anyone that loves working for Atlas, is NOT a property manager. You will be managing properties that should literally be burned to the ground and you WILL be ripped apart by residents, no matter how great you are at your job. They have ZERO standards for properties managed. If you make a mistake, prepare for a toxic, mass email to all employees about overcoming said mistake (you will know it's about you). They don't know this though, so you just look like you stink at your job. Owners will always see you as failing because you are overworked and could not possibly ensure every property is running at 100% without working 100 hours per week. ![]() They ALWAYS are using new applications to "optimize performance." Really, they are just using start up apps that glitch constantly and offer no benefit to residents. AKA you will teach yourself how to do your job! - They are CONSTANTLY changing procedures so as soon as you learn something new, it will change. ![]() You will be expected to jump into your role day one and ask questions as needed. Highly unprofessional, manipulative, unhelpful and insincere. Managers WILL email you on weekends and evenings, expecting a reply. You will NOT receive bonuses or incentives for working CONSTANTLY. You WILL be expected to work 60-70 hours weekly just to stay afloat. If you want more vendors, you're responsible for signing them up. They do not sign up enough vendors so work orders will always take too long or go unfinished and you will be the one in trouble for it. You will be expected to run a portfolio of 300-500 properties on your own. I don't personally know a single manager that has held their position for over a year because they simply burn out and quit. To commence the follow-up to their sophomore breakout, Days, founding members Martin Courtney (guitar/vocals), Matt Mondanile (guitar) and Alex Bleeker (bass/vocals) were joined by new full-time members, Jackson Pollis(drums) and Matt Kallman (keyboard) and producer Schick this past summer at Wilco's Chicago studio, The Loft. Atlas, the new album from Real Estate, was recorded over the summer and fall of 2013 with producer Tom Schick, and the ten-song album will be preceded by the release of the single "Talking Backwards". ![]()
